Real time meteorological data is integrated with the current airfield weather report and other operational information to provide displays specifically designed for controllers, ATC assistants and meteorological observers.

The primary ATC display presents essential meteorological information (suitable for landing instructions) along with other operational data (e.g. runway in use, current ATIS character, navaid status indication and regional altimeter settings). An alternative display formats data to compile regular OPMET airfield observation reports, updating the ATC display in the process.

Data can be obtained through interfaces to one or more automatic sensors or a computerised weather system as well as manually entered observations. Manual data entry can be simplified by drop down menu selections for valid entries and look-up tables (e.g. for RVR calculation from the number of visible runway lights).

The system also provides an easy interface to transfer meteorological data with other AIMS modules such as ATIS and AFTN and to import status indications from equipment monitoring.
